For this essay having the chance to do active reading before writing my essay helped me. Seeing the views of other people in their podcast or writings helped me see my writing in a different way. Hearing their stories and point of views show that there is different way to go about something. In this process I learned new was to annotate, and this helped me to see the story differently by finding different things in their stories that I would have not of found if I annotated the way I used to.
